The breakfast is supposedly the most important meal of the day. A healthy breakfast ensures that one remains active throughout the day. Since it is the first meal of the day and a person is eating after a long gap of say 8-10 hours, the body cells are hungry and crave for nutrition. Therefore we must take proper breakfast first thing in the morning.
Pancakes have been an all time favorite breakfast option. They are easy to make and extremely delicious to eat. They require very simple ingredients.
• 2 eggs
• Sugar- 1 tbsp
• Salt- ½ tbsp
• Baking powder- 2 tbsp
• Milk- 1 cup
• Flour- 1 1/3
• Vanilla essence
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the egg whites till they are stiff and set them aside. Now for the batter beat the egg yolk and add sugar and salt to it. To this add baking powder and mix properly. Now add flour, milk and oil to the batter and mix smoothly. Add the vanilla essence. Your batter is ready. Now you just need to add the egg white mix previously set aside and fold the batter and let it sit for around 20 minutes. Cook well and serve hot for maximum taste.
French toast is yet another “easy to make and great to eat” option. The ingredients too are simple and easily found at your nearest grocery shop.
• Bread- 12 slices( depends on the number of people)
• Milk- 1 cup
• Eggs- 4
• Sugar- 1 tbsp
• Salt- 1 tbsp
• Butter
Take the eggs in a bowl, add sugar and salt and beat it well. Coat your skillet or griddle with butter and heat over low flame. Dip your bread slices on the egg mixture properly. See that the mixture is soaked well. Place the bread on the griddle and heat slowly. Cook till golden brown. Your French toast is ready to serve.
The mere name of cheese omelette can be mouthwatering for some. It is yet another very simple and popular breakfast option.
• Eggs- 2
• Butter- 2 tbsp
• Cheddar cheese- ¼ cup
• Salt
• Pepper
In a bowl beat the egg till properly mixed. Add salt to taste. Heat butter in a skillet and tilt as the butter melts to spread it evenly. Pour the egg mixture and tilt the skillet to spread the mixture; Heat till golden brown. Sprinkle the cheese on top of the cooked egg mix. Tilt the skillet and run the spatula below the egg to loosen from the skillet and fold it. Sprinkle pepper to add to the taste. Your delicious cheese omelette is ready. And the best thing is it just takes few minutes.
