Sports in Pakistan

Pakistan is a country who loves sports.  Pakistanis are involved in numerous sports including the major ones such as Field Hockey and Cricket.  In these major sports, Pakistan holds a record of winning the Hockey World Cup for four times.  For Cricket however, Pakistan won the Cricket World Cup in 1992 and have hosted the games twice. 

Please take note the Pakistan will be the host for the 2011 Cricket World Cup.  As of this date, sports aficionados involved in these two major sports are gearing on making their names known by practicing harder.

Aside from these two major and popular sports in Pakistan, there are numerous sports that make Pakistanis busy all year round.

Kabaddi is also played in countries such as India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia and even in Japan.

Kabaddi is a major sport that makes Pakistan a place to be for the sport aficionado.
