The ayurveda and Yoga are known as the most ancient forms of science. Both strive towards maintaining a proper balance of the body. While the ayurveda basically concentrates on relieving the body of the three doshas, the Yoga aims towards maintaining a complete well being and health of the body.
Both these forms of Yoga and Ayurveda believe in the theory that every disease petty or big is the cause of some kind of imbalance in the body. What they are believed to do is restore this imbalance and permanently cure those conditions. These therapies help eliminating the toxins accumulated in the body over a period of time. They calm and relax the body and mind and boost up the immunity, further ensuring the body is least affected with any kind of diseases can fight them back whenever affected by them.
The Ayurveda believes in the three dosha theory of vata, pitta and kapha. According to them this humors present in ones body determine its health and well being and therefore Ayurveda tries to maintain a proper balance of these. These are also believed to be the determining factor of ones body type. On the other hand Yoga believes in the logic of the five elements of nature, the earth, fire, water, air and ether. And to restore some kind of ones health condition and maintain it, it combines and uses all these elements of nature.
Both the Yogic therapy and the Ayurvedic therapy are believed to be highly effective in curing health issues and maintaining a proper health. When working in isolation they definitely produce good results, but when in unison, they provide the maximum benefit to the person receiving them.
