Homemade Skin Cleansing Tips

Fresh and radiant skin is the dream of every woman. This not only makes them look great but also adds to their beauty and great looks.  When you look into the mirror you can see if your face looks dry, dull,  oily or does it look fresh and radiant? Like many or majority of women you can make you look great with lovely skin by taking just a little care of you.

Homemade skin cleansers offer the opportunity to create all-natural skin care formulas without the chemicals and expense of commercially made products.  Natural skin care products do not carry the worry of side effects and are gentle and soothing on the skin.  There are numerous ingredients in the home pantry that can be used for creating your own special formula of cleanser.   Here are some easy homemade skin cleansing tips to create your own beauty products.

  • Homemade skin care products do not have the preservatives and chemicals present in commercial products.  While this is good news for your skin, it’s not great news if you make too much of your product.  Only make enough products for three days of cleansing.  Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
  • For most homemade products, use by first gently washing your skin with tepid water.  This will remove any surface dirt and make it easier for your products to do deeper cleansing.
  • Honey is one of the most popular ingredients in skin care products.  Honey has been used by women for thousands of years, due to its antiseptic properties, moisturizing, and mild bleaching agents.  You can use honey by itself, or add to other formulas.  When using by it, massage a small amount of honey all over the face and rinse with warm water.  If you have acne, you can add a bit of baking soda.  Milk and honey is a classic cleansing formula that has been used since ancient times.  To make, just mix a tablespoon of milk or cream with a tablespoon of honey.  This cleanser will leave your face moisturized, refreshed and vibrant.
  • Using plant-based oils to cleanse your face will remove dirt and pollutants and leave your skin amazingly soft.  Do not use oils to cleanse your face if you already have oily skin.  Many women use a combination of 50% olive oil and 50% castor oil.  Coconut oil is also popular as a skin cleanser and moisturizer.  Leave your skin dry before cleansing with oil.  Massage into your face and then cover skin with a hot damp cloth.  This will steam out impurities and leave skin silky and smooth.  You may also add a drop or two of essential oil to your oil cleanser.
  • Cucumber and lemon is a mild cleanser that soothes sunburn and other skin problems.  Puree peeled cucumber in a blender with a few drops of lemon to revitalize the skin as well as mild bleaching for blemishes.  Cream or yogurt can be added to this mix for an extra luxurious potion.

These homemade skin cleansing tips will help your skin appear radiant and youthful.  You will be using all natural ingredients to clean your face, and saving money at the same time.
