  • Another tip combines equal proportion of hydrogen peroxide and water in a small bowl and soaks your nails for about 5 minutes.  Like the baking soda, hydrogen peroxide also has the oxidizing properties that help in whitening the nails. After soaking nails for 5 minutes scrub with whitening paste and a toothbrush to remove the stains.
