Achar Gosht Recipe


 Chicken: 1-kilogram
Garlic paste:  1-2 tablespoons
Ginger paste: 1-2 tablespoon
Green Chilies: 10 medium
Lemon juice: 3-4
Tomatoe puree: 6 medium sized tomatoes
Yogurt: 500 grams or half kilogram
Cooking Oil: 1 Cup
Achar Gosht Mix (any renowned brand): 1 Packet

Garnish: Ginger Julian and coriander leaves


Take green chilies and make slit on each. If you want, you can remove seeds carefully and fill green chilies with ready-made achar gosht spices mixed with fresh lemon juice and keep aside.

Now take a deep pan and heat up oil. Then add chicken pieces and fry. After 2 minutes add in ginger paste, garlic paste, yogurt and mix well. After that add remaining achar gosht mix left in the pack. Fry well for 8 to 10 minutes on high flame. Do not leave your dish unattended and keep on mixing well. After almost 10 minutes, add in 2 to 3 cups of water and cover the pan. Now lower the flame and cook it for 10 minutes more. Now add in tomato puree and mix well. Cook for another 5 to 6 minute on medium heat and finally put green chilies on the chicken pieces. Cover and cook more for some more time on low heat. Your dish is ready once oil separates from the gravy and chicken pieces are tender. Dish out yummy achar gosht in a beautiful dish and garnish with Julian ginger and finely chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with naan and enjoy.
