Lemon Gooey Butter Cake Recipe

Flour: 2 cups
Sugar: 1 cup
Baking powder: 2 teaspoon
Salt: ¼ teaspoon
Eggs: 2
Butter: 4 ounces
Milk: ¼ cup
Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
Lemon essence: ¼ teaspoon

Ingredients for topping:
Cream cheese: 200 grams
Eggs: 2 large
Butter: 4 ounces
Vanilla essence: ½ teaspoon
Icing sugar sifted: 8 ounces
Take a deep bowl, and add in butter and sugar. Now beat butter and sugar until creamy. Then add eggs 1 at a time with lemon essence and then fold in dry ingredients, alternating with milk and lemon juice, and lastly fold in flour. After that, pour this batter in a well-greased glass baking dish.

Method for topping:

Beat together all the ingredients for topping that are cream cheese, eggs, butter, vanill essence and icing sugar. Spread over cake batter bake on 180 degrees for 40 – 45 min. After baking time, cool and cut in squares. Serve with tea or coffee and enjoy.
