Eid ul Fitr Food Recipes: Chicken Malai Handi Recipe

Boneless chicken: ½ kg
Butter: 2 tablespoons
Yogurt: 1 cup
Onion (chopped): 1 cup
Cream: 2 tablespoons
Poppy seeds (ground): 1 tablespoon
Sesame seeds (ground): 1 tablespoon
Cashew Nuts: 10
Ginger garlic: 1 tablespoon
White pepper: ½ teaspoon
Black Pepper ½ teaspoon
Salt: 1 teaspoon
Raw Papaya (ground): 1 tablespoon
Marinate chicken boneless with all the given ingredients except chopped onion, oil and butter for 1 hour at least. After an hour or so, heat butter and oil in a handi. Add chopped onion. Fry till onions turn transparent. After that, add marinated chicken. Cover and cook until chicken becomes tender and thick gravy is left. Now give dum of coal. Dum means cook for another 2 to 3 minutes on a low flame in a covered handi with smoke of coal. Once it is done, serve it garnished with coriander and mint leaves. Enjoy with naan and salad.
